Producer's Tasting Notes:
Nose: Rich, entrancing. Characterized by a rare refinement and exceptional freshness, the initial nose is fruity (banana, apricot), floral (broom, mimosa), spiced (ginger, nutmeg) and roasted (coffee, tobacco) with hints of praline. It evolves energetically with notes of precious wood, beeswax, and even more exotic aromas (mango, passion fruit). The balance is perfect, and the length extraordinary. The crescendo comes with orange zest and heather honey.
Palate: Firm, lofty. With the same fervour as the nose, the palate shows great vitality and self-confidence. There is a parade of jammy fruit: oranges, Mirabelle plums, yellow peaches, mangoes and figs. In the mid-palate, the flavours are characterised by firmness and minerality. Spices, aromatic plants, notes of earth and slate give it the perfect foundation to resist the passing years.
Finish: Balsamic, empyreumatic. Evoking a crème brûlée, it exudes essences of rosemary and lime blossom. The fruit is dehydrated and becomes dried (currants, dates). The retro-nasal olfaction is very unusual, offering us wonderful great baskets of black fruit (blackberry, blueberry). The empty glass gives an impression of tremendous firmness and minerality.
