A 20 year old Craigellachie single malt, independently bottled by those Douglas Laing folks as part of the Old Particular range. It was matured in a sherry butt from July 1999 to November 2019, then bottled with a very small outturn of 208 bottles.
Cakey and sweet with honeyed malt, vanilla pod and chocolate digestives.
A slow build of fresh ginger and black pepper. Dried apricot and toasted sliced almonds.
Orange peels, more ginger and some dried oak heat.
