Craigellachie
17 Year Old Whisky
Customer Rating
“Wow this is the best whisky I've had for some time, even those similarly priced. It's so bright, cirtussy and vibrant. Also very oily mouth feel. I get apples, cut grass, jasmine, lillies, and lemmon drizzle cake. What a combo! Strange! As often happens on first opening, it was OK, and I opened a bottle of 30 quid Hinch irish that seemed better, but the next day I went back and was blown away. Shame its sold out!”

Description
Craigellachie shows off its distinct, unapologetic style in fashion with this impressive 17-year-old single malt. Initially matured in a host of bourbon and sherry casks, married, then divided equally between fresh, first-fill bourbon and sherry casks to finish, it boasts a robust, muscular profile with tropical hints of pineapple and meaty malt.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Apple crumble, melon and raisins. Honey'd barley, a little hint of smoke and vanilla ice-cream.
Palate
It opens very sweet with pineapple and custard creams, though the meatiness soon shines through. More smoke on the palate than the nose, with a touch of clove and oak.
Finish
Waxy and smoky on the finish.
