This Craigellachie reminds you exactly why indie bottlers love the distillery. Filled in 2009 and bottled in 2024 from a trio of hogsheads, this Speysider keeps all its muscular charm intact thanks to non-chill-filtration and natural colour. Expect the distillery’s famously meaty edge wrapped up in orchard fruit and gentle oak polish.
Decadent aromas of rich chocolate and sweet praline come forward immediately, underpinned by a wholesome malty character. Earthy tones reminiscent of damp oak and toasted grains add depth and a rustic warmth to the nose.
Velvety and indulgent, with a harmonious blend of crystallised ginger, creamy fudge, and smooth vanilla. The texture is enhanced by a biscuity oat note, bringing a comforting, breakfast-like richness that balances the sweeter elements beautifully.
Luxuriously smooth and lingering, with soft notes of clotted cream and mellow vanilla. A gentle warmth carries through, fading slowly with a final touch of malted sweetness and creamy spice.
