    Craigellachie 13 Year Old 2008 (cask 7529523) - The Octave (Duncan Taylor)

    A cracking single malt from Craigellachie, distilled in 2008 and matured for 13 years in oak casks, with a three-month finishing period in small octave casks. In 2021, the whisky was bottled up at cask strength by the indie experts at Duncan Taylor and released as part of The Octave collection.

    Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

    Lemony biscuits, buttered rye bread, chocolate flapjack, with some underlying pebbly minerality.

    Palate

    Sweet, malty vanilla, a touch of oaky coffee, underlying fruit and berries drizzled in salted caramel.

    Finish

    Chocolate and honeyed cereal, baking spice and soft stone fruit.
