Single Malt
Scotland
Sherry
Craigellachie's single malt boasts a rich and robust character that does just splendidly when it's aged in a sherry cask, as you'll see in this 11-year-old expression, bottled by Darkness. The whisky was given a finish in a custom-made Pedro Ximénez sherry octave cask imparting heaps of thick toffee and sweet caramel to the vibrant malt at its core.
Notes of dark mint chocolate are backed by creamy maple fudge and peppermint creams.
Treacle toffee, Crunchie bars, maple and pecan pastries, with charred oak and burnt biscuits beneath.
Sticky ginger cake, buttered malt loaf, burnt sugar, and earthy, herbaceous notes of dried mint.

Pure greatness in a bottle. I dont normally post reviews but this needed a special mention.
