The Travelling Circus is another cracking Compass Box blend, this one that pulls smoky island malt, sherried Speyside richness, and old grain whisky into a single, textured performance. It's bottled at 49% ABV, natural colour, and non-chill-filtered.
The largest component is single malt Aberlour matured in a first-fill oloroso sherry-seasoned butt (29.1%), Port Dundas single grain aged in refill sherry butts (23.9%), Talisker single malt matured in recharred American oak hogsheads (19.1%), and Caol Ila single malt from a first-fill bourbon barrel (7.3%). The remaining 20.6% is blended Scotch parcels, primarily from sherry butts and first-fill bourbon barrels.
Dark fruit, incense smoke, polished oak and cocoa powder.
Silky sherry sweetness, dried fruit, warming spice and aromatic smoke.
Long, smoky and elegant with a rich, velvety fade
