A delightful blended grain whisky, Hedonism really is as enjoyable as the name suggests. Exclusively matured in American oak barrels, the result is a smooth and creamy offering from Compass Box.
From the first delectable introduction, Hedonism is all ripe fruit, fraises des bois and sponge cake. Some red pepper provides an interesting point to mull.
Very sensual, disarmingly sleek and creamy. Black cherry and sweet spices, some cereal notes.
Very warm and spiced, toasty, some oak and milk chocolate.

She needs a drop of water otherwise very strong. Sweet with a little fading bitterness. The water opens up the sweetness. The finish is quite bitter, but the slight burn is very long and satisfying. Not quite sure about this one. Sometimes I like it and others I don’t. But that’s small batch for you – sometimes you get one that is at the extreme end of the flavor range.
One of the most unusual and surprising blends. I originally tasted it in the sample set/box set with test tubes of their blends. This one was a stand-out. We ordered a bottle and shared it with four friends over a long weekend, along with a bottle of Belvenie 15, Highland Park, and Glenlevit 15. Even with that great company, Hedonism was the stand out, especially at the end of a dinner. A great scotch.
Wow. Never even thought about grain whiskies before trying this at a tasting. Absolutely fantastic. Nose is strong with Kiwis and Coconuts, and the taste is smooth whilst still carrying that delicious fruit flavour.
I have recently returned to whisky drinking after a long time away. My forst thought was that the aroma was quite slight and not particularly significant and was taken by surprise by the lovely smooth tasting. Yes a convert indeed - slainte
Very creamy, sweet with hint of the cream on the spnge cake. Very nice, I enjoy it!
