Blended
Scotland
Coachbuilt
The first release from Coachbuilt Whisky, which was founded by spirits expert George Koutsakis and Formula 1 racing driver Jenson Button! This blended Scotch whisky is made with spirits from five of Scotland's whisky producing regions, and married together in ex-sherry casks, building a rewarding flavour profile. Rather glorious stuff, this!
Butterscotch, pineapple, buttered crumpets, and chocolate peanuts.
Gingersnaps, espresso, candied peels, a touch of peaty smoke drifting in.
Heather honey, vanilla-rich malt, dried cherry.

I tried this recently in a blend line up. It’s perfectly acceptable, however I’d perhaps use this as mixer which kind of makes it obsolete given the price. It’s a big premium to pay for a fancy bottle & celebrity association. I found Black Bottle (also in the same line up) to be far superior at half the price. Wink wink. Now you know. 2/5. Maybe 3/5 if it was £20/£25 a bottle.
Gifted a bottle of this for Christmas, and after several drams I’ve not found a bad word yet, an easy pleasant sipper, elegant in its taste
Having found this beauty in my Pour & Sip box I've learned one thing and that's "don't be snobbish about blended whisky". I should've known better than being that way after finding out that one of my faves is Bailie, Nicol & Jarvie. Anyway, this whisky is one of those that just grabs you. It's great on the palate with some awesome notes and just never stops fading on the finish. It's in the playground with its Adidas Samba on shouting at the rich kids and everyone is taking notice.....or so they should!
