A single malt from the Clynelish distillery, drawn from a single hogshead cask in which the whisky matured from 1995 to 2018. It was then bottled by Wemyss Malts and named 'Pork & Plum Terrine' as a little clue as to its flavour profile. A limited release of 612 bottles, all at 46% ABV.
Fresh wholemeal bread dough, mineral clay notes and saffron spice.
Here it comes into its name, with a saline edge appearing in the form of pork jelly terrine, alongside plum, stewed apples and a kick of stem ginger.
A medium finish, tart cooking apples and plum returns.
