That Boutique-y Whisky Company has gone and bottled up its tenth batch of single malt Scotch whisky from the Clynelish Distillery! As ever, the cats on the label can't agree on anything, and one of them frankly isn't paying any attention to the conversation at all, simply thinking only of cheeseburgers. Anyway, this is a great 23 year old expression from the much-adored Highland distillery, showing off the characteristic waxy elements wonderfully.
Batch 10 is a release of 187 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Apple peels, candle wax with a floral waft of spring blossom and heather to it, subtly flinty too.
Still waxy, with tropical fruit tanginess developing, plus warming oaky spices.
Oily barley lingers on the finish.
