From the excellent Càrn Mòr range comes a 26 year old Clynelish single malt Scotch whisky, aged in a hogshead cask from September 1989 to May 2016. 277 bottles of this whisky were produced, and it has been presented at 54.5% ABV.
Some classic Clynelish coastal air notes, with a touch of iodine in there too. Continues on to granary toast slathered with honey and crystallised ginger.
Burnt sugar, fresh orchard fruits (lots of apples and waxy orange peels to this one), a pinch of tobacco.
Ginger returns on the finish, though now spicier than before.
