Clynelish 21 Year Old - Forgotten Gems
This right here is an independently bottled single malt from the amazing Clynelish Distillery, released as part of the Forgotten Gems series, which is all about making sure the last drops of great whiskies don't end up getting forgotten about. This one is 23 year old expression, bottled at 46.1% ABV, with just 18 bottles produced. It most certainly is a gem of a whisky.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Chestnuts, treacle, a familiar hint of waxy citrus peels.
Palate
Plenty more citrus notes, alongside a tropical touch of pineapple, with a prickle of oaky spice later on.
Finish
Lasting hints of savoury cedar and oily barley.
