Bourbon
21 year old Clynelish Highland single malt Scotch whisky, distilled back in 1996. It was initially aged in a bourbon hogshead and then finished in a Koval bourbon cask before being bottled in 2018 at 50% ABV for Murray McDavid's Mission Gold range. And look, the presentation box is wonderfully shiny, too.
Buttery sweet notes of vanilla and fudge and small hints of herbaceous thyme and peppercorn.
Demerara sugar, candied fruit and touches of star anise.
Lengthy finish - nutmeg spices and sweet, creamy vanilla.
