A superb Clynelish, distilled in 1997 and aged in cask 6467 before bottling in 2012 by Berry Brothers and Rudd. This was bottled for the fabulous Boisdale bar, and pairs wonderfully with a medium-bodied Cuban cigar. A release of just 320 bottles, selected by Doug McIvor.
Nose: An aromatic, coastal nose with soft smoke, wet stones, a touch of peat, oysters with freshly squeezed lemon juice and waxy honey.
Palate: Robust and creamy, slightly smoked, salted butter, caramel, cedar and walnut.
Finish: Cinnamon, cardamom and smoke on the tail.
