A stunning Clynelish, distilled in 1997. This was originally aged in bourbon then finished in premier cru Médoc from Château Lafite. In 2008, it was bottled at the Bruichladdich distillery, and brought down to bottling strength using Islay spring water. The result is an outturn of 15,000 bottles with superb provenance.
Briny, gently smoky, rich with notes of blackberries and blackcurrants.
Herbal, creamy, oily, minty, thickly fruited. Berry fruits.
Very fruity and tangy, long spice and hints of smoke.
