Clonakilty Single Pot Still
Distilled at Clonakilty Distillery after opening in 2019, this Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is made from 100% Cork grown barley and triple-distilled in copper pot stills before maturing in the distillery’s Atlantic Ocean Warehouse. A combination of bourbon and Amontillado sherry casks brings together creamy sweetness and dry, nutty depth. It’s a modern Irish pot still.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Vanilla cream and demerara sugar lead, with citrus peel, ripe kiwi, and a hint of sea breeze salinity.
Palate
Caramelised pear and baked apple glide in first, followed by wood spice, dark chocolate, and a touch of orange oil.
Finish
Vanilla and toasted oak, with a drying sherried nuttiness that keeps it tidy.
