This 21-year-old peated Highland single malt comes from a secret distillery rumoured to be Jura, drawn from a refill barrel that yielded just 198 bottles at 54.5% ABV. It offers a mix of mellow smoke and soft fruit, with sweet apple and orchard character wrapped in gentle peat.
Sweet red apple touched by peat smoke, fruit gums, orange, herbal barbecue smoke, spearmint, leather and light coal tar.
Rich and viscous with smoked honey, crystallised orange, herbal pastilles and a subtle tar note folded into custard.
Almost creamy with baked pineapple jelly and pine needles.
