Orkney 15 Year Old (Chorlton Whisky)
A delightful lightly peated single malt from an undisclosed distillery on Orkney, although we reckon you may be able to take a guess which one is responsible. The 15 year old whisky was bottled from a refill sherry butt in 2019 in a release of just 84 bottles. At 58.7% ABV, this dram is packed full of flavour.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Freshly baked banana bread drizzled with salted caramel, with coastal aromas, savoury swirls of smoke and apricot sweetness.
Palate
Vibrant citrus contrasts against creamier notes and a good helping of salty minerality.
Finish
More tangy lime fades into a lingering warming smokiness with fragrant camphor and dried herbs.
