A somewhat mysterious single malt independently bottled by Chorlton Whisky, produced at an undisclosed Orkney distillery. There are very few whisky distilleries on Orkney, so you might be able to guess which one it came from. The whisky was aged for 12 years in a single bourbon hogshead before being bottled without additional colouring or chill-filtration at a hefty 62.9% ABV. The painting on the label seems to show either a lunar eclipse, or the apocalypse.
Fragrant honey and toasted almonds, grassy malt, a hint of damp oak.
Aniseed balls, black pepper, cooked apples and salted butter.
Crunchy brown sugar, a burst of citrus and lasting fiery ginger.

Surely Highland Park, even with the big Bourbon cask influence the fragrant smoke and heather notes are still here. All very peppery, pithy and spicy..needs water
