Chichibu The Peated 2026 70cl Whisky

Chichibu spends around one month each year making peated spirit, and on delightful rare occasions lets it take the lead in a release of its own. The Peated 2026 is the first instalment since 2022, made with barley peated to 50ppm and bottled at 50.5% ABV. Around 40 casks went into the vatting, mostly bourbon barrels, with oloroso sherry casks and re-coopered hogsheads also contributing. A welcome return for Chichibu’s smoky side.
