Description
This Barrel Select Rye Whisky from Virginia-based distillers Catoctin Creek boasts a 100% rye mash bill and is one of 248 bottles produced. It rested in a barrel in Catoctin's rickhouse, near the Blue Ridge Mountains, before being bottled up at hearty 57.5% ABV. A real treat to sip neat for all you rye fans out there, but if you're looking to make some standout Manhattans this will also shine. Rye, and spice and everything nice!

Nose
Fresh baked cookies, with a hint of waxy lemon zest and mint, plenty of spice, and warm oak.
Palate
Chocolate, crumbly fudge, and hazelnuts, with big helpings of well-rounded spice and a touch of grass.
Finish
Lingering clove, cinnamon, and chocolate, with a whisper of the lemon peel coming back.
