A rather robust rye here, dubbed Rabble Rouser, produced by Catoctin Creek in Virginia, USA! This expression is bottled in bond, and made with 100% rye, resulting in warming, earthy, spicy rye wonderfulness. Brilliant stuff, this.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Brown bread with a layer of Nutella, forest floor, toasted sesame, yellow plum.
Palate
Classic peppery rye, with a hint of oily oak developing. Still has some stone fruit sweetness running through it.
Finish
Cassia, clove, and salted caramel.
