Description

A 46 year old Carsebridge single grain Scotch whisky, independently bottled by Murray McDavid as part of the Select Grain range. This whisky (from a long-closed distillery) was aged from 1970 to 2017, before being bottled at 40.9% ABV.

Nose

Creamy vanilla and baking aromas, joined by cedar and cinnamon.

Palate

Mature oak, orange pith and some oily walnut.

Finish

Spiced fruit punch, molasses and a hint of hibiscus.
