Cardhu Amber Rock Bottling Note

Cardhu's Amber Rock single malt Scotch whisky is double matured in toasted American oak casks, resulting in a full bodied whisky, packed with vanilla, citrus and oak-y notes. The is inspired in part by the colour of the whisky, as well as the Gaelic meaning of Cardhu - 'Black Rock'.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Cinnamon-dusted apple slices, a good drizzle of honey and a hint of orange zest. Then there's the vanilla biscuits. Oh, so many vanilla biscuits!

Palate: Lemons, sticky caramel, vanilla essence and oak spice, lovingly drizzled with honey.

Finish: Subtle bitter orange and oak-y on the finish.

Cardhu Amber Rock Reviews

Recommended for starter and experienced drinkers as well

Compare to the Gold Reserve more body in this, more aromatic. I usually prefer cherry cask whisky but this is a pleasant drink. Slightly spicy, sweet with nice finish. Nice job.
