The second release of Cardhu, as part of Diageo's popular Special Releases, this 21-year-old Speyside single malt was matured in bourbon casks before being bottled for the 2013 collection.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Breakfast cereal with milk, or is that just buttery pastry? Plenty of red apple as well as green, leafy, slightly herbal notes.
Palate
Quite vegetal and green with a touch of unripe fig.
Finish
Fragrant wood, a little smoky chocolate at the death.
Overall
An unusual Cardhu featuring some of the herbal notes that seem to have been a theme in this year's Special Releases.
