A Càrn Mòr Caperdonich! This independently bottling of single malt from the closed Caperdonich distillery was aged in a single hogshead from June 1988 to March 2018, and was then bottled as part of the Celebration of the Cask range. Only 203 bottles were produced.
Old oak, five-spice and buttered pancakes.
Fig, pineapple and lemon, with cinnamon rolls bringing creamy vanilla and spice in to the mix.
Spearmint, toffee and a little more tropical fruit juiciness.
Found this for sale for $1,200 in a spirits shop in NY. Curious if anyone else has tried it and can describe in depth? May go back. Love scoring these extinct distilleries.
Loved the long, juicy but still creamy finish. I tried this at a high-end whisky bar in Tokyo. Have been trying to find a bottle ever since. Seems difficult to find now.
I purchased this for£315 last year now it’s £280 disappointing
