Caperdonich 22 Year Old 1996 (cask 53630) - Celebration of the Cask (Càrn Mòr)
A Càrn Mòr bottling of single malt from the Caperdonich distillery, which has sadly closed since distilling the whisky back in April 1996. It was matured in a single hogshead for 22 years, until it was bottled in January 2019 as part of the Celebration of the Cask range. 262 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Marzipan, banana chips and a whiff of soft, oaky smoke.
Palate
Ginger and nutmeg, with a touch of black tea alongside. Cherry and sultana appear later on.
Finish
A floral hint develops, with continued baking spice and red fruit.
