Indie Caol Ila from The Single Cask! This was distilled in 2014, and spent its final days resting in a first-fill moscatel sherry octave cask for a finishing period. Once it reached eight years of age it was bottled up, with just 75 bottles released at cask strength, and a generous 56.5% ABV.
Fragrant smoke, oily malt, spiced berry compote, and hints of tangy kiwi.
Sherried nuttiness, candied lime peel, and salted caramel, all backed up by coastal peat.
Lingering rancio, blackcurrants, and cinnamon.
