Joining the Benchmark collection from independent bottler Murray McDavid, a five-year-old single malt from Caol Ila! Distilled in 2018, the whisky finished its maturation in a Madeira cask before a total of 327 bottles were released in 2023.
Sweet and smoky with charred stone fruits and waves of barbecue coals, with some salty sea breeze in tow.
Dark chocolate salted almonds and dried fruit are backed by vibrant, peaty barley, and a touch of fennel.
Smoked cured meats, briny, oily oak, charred pepper, and honeyed prunes.
