A 32-year-old Caol Ila single malt here, distilled in 1991 and matured in a single hogshead until 2023. A total of 315 cask-strength bottles join the Old & Rare collection from Hunter Laing.
This pale-gold coloured whisky has an intense and complex nose with liquorice, sea salt, peat smoke, leather, and lemon juice.
Pleasantly soft and sweet on the palate, with a chocolate and nutty quality overlaying the Islay peat influence.
Toffee and citrus notes of the long, satisfying finish.
