A cask of Caol Ila is a treat for any indie bottler, and that includes us! This single malt rested in a refill hogshead for 19 years between 1999 and 2019, and finished its days under the watchful eye of the team at Master of Malt. Just 44 bottles are available as part of our Single Cask range.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sugared lemon and drying orange lead to classic oily, coastal smoke, balanced by floral malt and aromatic oak.
Palate
The floral notes continue on the palate with suggestions of heather honey, baklava, and stone fruits countering hearty, ashen peat smoke.
Finish
Herbaceous smoke, rock salt, root ginger, and crackling bonfire embers.
