17 year old single malt from the Caol Ila Distillery on Islay, independently bottled by those That Boutique-y Whisky Company folks. The Caol Ila Distillery is on Islay's east coast, and it has a great view of the neighbouring island, Jura. Which is handy – if Jura's deer popular ever decided to try and take Islay by force, Caol Ila would be the first to know.
Batch 8 is a release of 359 bottles.

Toasted oak and sea shells, with a helping of cooked apple and butter.
Still coastal and mineral-rich, though a hint of Turkish delight sneaks through.
Lasting sweetness of barley and citrus, dotted with peppery heat.
