The Auld & the Bold series explores how classic whisky profiles can evolve through unconventional maturation, and this Moscatel-finished Caol Ila is a perfect example. Sweet wine influence collides with elegant Islay peat smoke to create a whisky that feels both indulgent and coastal.
Distilled at Caol Ila in 2011, this Islay single malt matured for 14 years before bottling at 52.4% ABV from cask #312219. A total of 240 bottles were released.

Nose
Cola cubes, red fruit preserves, scorched caramel, and wafts of coastal smoke.
Palate
Syrupy sweetness, jammy fruits, caramel crust, and rolling peat smoke.
