Swooping in from Islay, this single malt distilled at Caol Ila joins the Infrequent Flyers series of independent bottlings by Alistair Walker. Matured in a single cask for 14 years between 2007 and 2021, when the cask was finally opened to release an outturn of 283 bottles at a hearty 56.8% ABV.
Meaty smoke, buttered oat cakes, lemon curd, oily tar.
Flinty minerality, seaweed, and coastal peat smoke, with lemon zest, softened by sweet caramel.
Grassy embers, baked apples, earthy spice with pepper, and a prickle of smoked chilli flakes.
