“Lovely smooth whisky with a well balanced smoke and peat profile with some sweetness. I found it needed no water to tone things down- it's a very easy sipping whisky which is dangerously moreish. I'll be making it a regular purchase.”

Description
The spirit of this single malt Scotch whisky was sourced from Caol Ila Distillery before Gordon and MacPhail matured it in its own casks for its new introductory range, Discovery. It was aged for a total of 13 years before being bottled at 43% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Soft vanilla and sawdust, with subtly coastal smoke wafting in.
Palate
White fruit, sponge cake, lemon, oatcakes and smoked cheese.
Finish
Burnt sugar and earthy peat.
