Caol Ila single malt here, distilled in 2009 and matured for 13 years in a bourbon hogshead. It was bottled in 2023 by Signatory Vintage for its Cask Strength Collection, with an outturn of 278.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Nutty toasted barley, with waves of coastal peat, crumbly shortbread, and set honey.
Palate
Toasted oak, more peat, some salted caramel, and a touch of waxy orange.
Finish
Beach bonfires and oaky vanilla.
