An independently bottled single malt from the Caol Ila Distillery, matured in a single hogshead for 12 years. Following that slumber, this expression was bottled up by Chorlton Whisky, with an outturn of 269 bottles. The label features some snazzy artwork, as Chorlton bottlings are wont to do. It looks like a windy scene, with one character going "Cor, bloomin' windy, mind!", and the other going "Hey, head over here, not as windy!" At least, that's our artistic interpretation.
Meaty malt with hints of smoky bacon crisps and honey-glazed ham, plus some floral brightness sneaking through.
Still savoury and meaty, though a touch of molasses sweetens it up a bit.
Tangy BBQ sauce and toasted grains.
