A splendid indie bottling of Caol Ila single malt, distilled in 2010 and matured for 12 years, including a finish in a Tulip wine barrel. Boasting an impressive balance of coastal smoke and rich fruit, a total of 389 bottles were released by DS Tayman in June 2022.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Rich wafts of oak char, salted lemons, and fresh plums with wisps of coastal peat.
Palate
Red berry sweetness and a whisper of grenadine balance smouldering peat smoke and robust roasted malt.
Finish
Beach bonfire lingers with soft salinity while candied citrus and fruit crumble balance prickles of spice.
