The team at Signatory has a knack for picking out good casks of Caol Ila, and they've done it again here! This expression was distilled in 2010 and matured for a decade in two hogsheads, before being bottled up in 2021 for Sigantory's range of independently bottled whiskies.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Candle wax, sea air, flaky pastry, salted lemons.
Palate
Gently floral with smoky char, oily malt, peppery peat, and earthy coffee.
Finish
Bonfire embers, coastal oak, a vegetal touch of baked apple.
