What happens when smoky Islay meets spicy American rye? This Caol Ila spent six years getting its traditional coastal peat on, then four more years soaking up the rye cask fire. It’s the dram equivalent of a bonfire with cinnamon marshmallows and a flask of salty caramel.
Bonfire smoke, toffee apple, clove and black pepper.
Fruity peat, salted caramel, pecan brittle, BBQ char.
Oily, sweet oak, smoked paprika, peppery malt.
