Single malt Scotch whisky from the Caol Ila Distillery, independently bottled by Thompson Bros. Distilled in 2010 and aged for 10 years, only 500 bottles were produced. There is a bright eyed seal on the label, presumably navigating the shores of Islay.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Coastal, peaty sea breeze, zesty lemon, and buttered toast.
Palate
Oily brine and fruit with honey, tangy oak, liquorice, ginger and peat smoke.
Finish
Lingering wafts of herbal peat and smoked heather combine with sweet, rich fruit and plenty of chilli pepper spice.
