Used to drink this in the 70s gone back to it now and reminiscing of glorious times when I was young.
Discovered CC when I was 23 years old - now at 75 years old still a favourite - Rye & Dry with ice and a slice of orange - one of the very best!!!
Let's face it, no one (in their right mind) drinks straight CC and savors it like a fine complex cognac or single malt scotch. That is not its forte. It is however great for mixed drinks, whilst stronger, more complex blends, prove too powerful and overwhelming. I factored in "bang for the buck in my stars rating."
Garbage, pale shadow of it once was trust a Canadian this is cheap junk full of caramel. Diageo destroyed Seagrams.
I must say I agree with a previous reviewer in that I didn't rate this whisky. It was recommended by a friend of mine who loved Suntori like me. I thought it was very thin and bland. The flavours did improve when it was used as a mixer though, perhaps that's what it is best for and at this price point, perhaps to be expected?
