Campbeltown 7 Year Old 2014 (cask 127) - The Cooper's Choice (The Vintage Malt Whisky Co.)
The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. has bottled up this cracking Campbeltown whisky for The Cooper's Choice collection! This blended malt (the label does say that it's a teaspooned malt) was distilled in 2014 and matured for seven years – initially in American oak, and given a finish in a Sauternes cask. A total of 387 bottles were drawn in 2021.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Ripe, juicy melon, butterscotch, vanilla, and stone fruits.
Palate
Bright citrusy notes, with bold, toasty malt. Wafts of dark berry jam, apricot tarts, crystalised ginger, and a touch of salinity.
Finish
Further baking spice, salted fudge, juicy prune, and tangy oak.
