This grand old single grain Scotch from Cambus was distilled in 1993 and spent the next 31 years maturing in a single sherry butt. The cask was opened by James Eadie in 2025, independently releasing 349 cask strength bottles at a satisfying 50.9% ABV.

Born less than a mile from Carsebridge distillery and less than 2 miles from Cambus distillery, I'm now, age 55 only properly beginning to discover the delights of single grain whisky. To use the local parlance, this one is a stoater! The last Cambus grain I had was the 31 year old "Red Cask", a truly spectacular dram, now rarer than unicorns. This is a close second. The subtle flavours of the grain whisky are complimented and not overpowered by the careful sherry casking. Wonderful stuff!
