Bourbon

30 year old single grain from the Cambus Distillery, which sadly closed its doors in 1993. This whisky was distilled just three years earlier in 1990, and allowed to mature in three bourbon hogsheads, followed by a 14 month finishing period in a Cognac cask. A glorious bit of grain whisky heritage, independently bottled by Murray McDavid for its Mission Gold collection.
Berry tarts, creamy vanilla, cut grass, and crushed almonds.
Orange zest, apples, raisin fruit loaf with silky grain, and oaken vanilla.
Spiced fruit cake, baked pear, apple pastries, gently oily, and peppery on the finish.
