Cambus 30 Year Old 1988 (cask 16643) - The Sovereign (Hunter Laing)

An exceptional single grain whisky from a lost distillery, Cambus! This was distilled all the way back in 1988, five years before Cambus closed in 1993. It spent the next 30 years(!) in a single sherry hogshead, until Hunter Laing bottled it for The Sovereign series, with a release of just 242 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose

Butterscotch angel delight, bonfire toffee, manuka honey, candy floss.

Palate

Oranges on the palate, apple purée and cinnamon leading to a long, sweet, caramel infused finish.
