Cambus 29 Year Old 1991 (cask 9067) - The Cooper's Choice (The Vintage Malt Whisky Co.)

Single grain Scotch whisky here from the sadly closed Cambus Distillery, independently bottled by The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. for the Cooper's Choice range. This one was distilled in May 1991, and left to age in American oak casks, but was moved over to an Amarone Italian red wine cask before eventually being bottled in 2020. 336 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Lots of red fruit notes up front - think boozy strawberries and juicy redcurrants. Caramel and pomelo notes sit underneath.

Palate

Vanilla essence, milky tea, orange peel, oak, red apples and gingersnaps.

Finish

Pear tarte tatin, jam doughnuts and spicy cinnamon.
