Cambus 29 Year Old 1991 (cask 34105) - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory)
Excellent single grain Scotch whisky from the sorely-missed Cambus Distillery, which has been independently bottled by Signatory for the Cask Strength Collection. This one was distilled in May 1991 and left to age in a refill sherry butt for 29 years. In March 2021, it was bottled up at 56.9% ABV with an outturn of 388 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Treacle tarts and rum-soaked raisins, with hot chocolate richness in the background.
Palate
Brown sugar, flaky pastry, a tangy hint of orange liqueur. Christmas spice grow and grow, leading to plenty of toasty cinnamon heat on the mid-palate.
Finish
Banana fritters and espresso.
