Another picturesque snowy day by the Cambus iron bridge on this new batch of Boutique-y grain. There are a few additions, however, in the form of a robin redbreast (delightful), a snowman and an age statement! This tasty whisky spent 27 years maturing, having been distilled around four or five years before Cambus closed.
Batch 3 is a release of 107 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Honeyed and shy at first before opening up gloriously with Werther's Originals, toffee pieces and a little weetabix. Hints of green anise and even a hint of smoke too.
Iced buns, a touch of cinnamon and then into fudge and old fashioned toffee crumble.
Sweet fudge supported by citrus with a touch of melon.

a hit of sawdust - sure - it's a (relatively) young grain after all - but this is very quickly overtaken by toasted coconut. Werthers Originals are all here, too, sure.
